d.        Your personal information as part of discussions with any of our Directors and/or Executive Committee Members.

Any organisations that assist Nepali Village UK in pursuing the purposes described below, media articles and other sources available to the public at large,

a.       Your title, full name (including former name or alias), gender, date of birth.

We would like to maintain a relationship with our shareholders and third parties. We collect personal information to enable us to keep our shareholders fully abreast of our activities. We may process your personal information for the following purposes:

c.       Event registration and


d.       To keep a record of communications between you and NVUK.


e.       To process payment.


1.2         Due Diligence:


Should you make a payment to Nepali Village UK, we may process your personal information as part of our due diligence monitoring purposes.

We may, from time to time, contact you by email, post or telephone to pursue the purposes mentioned above and in particular for the following reasons:


a.        To keep you up to date with events and activities of the Nepali Village UK.


b.        To share news and achievements of Nepali Village UK.


c.        Invite you to events; or


d.        To keep you up to date with other relevant information, which we think may be of interest to you.

Your personal information is held securely on a database. We may disclose your personal data within our company. We do not transfer your personal information to third parties outside the United Kingdom or to territories without adequate levels of protection. Where personal data is processed by a third party, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the data is processed strictly according to the instructions of the Nepali Village UK, for the relevant purposes only and securely destroyed or returned upon completion/termination. We do not sell or rent any personal information or data supplied by you.

We may retain your personal information as long as necessary and in line with our statutory/regulatory obligations where appropriate. We do not disclose personal information to third parties or Government agencies unless required to do so by law.

7.4     Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.


7.5     Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.


7.6     Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation,

           or to you, in certain circumstances.


You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

We may rely on one or multiple grounds for processing your personal data including:
